13 Years of Selling Online — Why I’m Doing Digital Income Differently Now. Building Digital Income That Survives Real Life.

Back in October 2013, I made the first money I ever made online.

€480.

Forty people signed up to a 12-week course called“12 Weeks, 12 Pounds, 12 Euros.”

It did exactly what it said on the tin — and it worked.

People got results. I received great testimonials. And more importantly, I learned something that would shape the next 13 years of my life:

People will pay when you genuinely help them.

My First (Very Real) Mistakes

Looking back, I made one big mistake.

The course was too cheap and too long.

But honestly? That didn’t matter.It was my first attempt — and it worked.

What most people don’t see is that it didn’t “just happen.”

At the time, I was studying nutritional therapy, and I had a Facebook page where I consistently shared helpful health information. No funnel. No training. No strategy. Just value.

Without realising it, I was already doing the most important thing right:

• Help first

• Offer a solution second

When Things Took Off — Organically

From there, it snowballed.

I went on to sell:

• Short courses

• VIP Days

• One-to-one six-month mentoring programmes

It was all working.

Then people started coming to me asking:

“How did you do this?”“Will you show me?”

So I did.

As an ex software engineer, the tech side came naturally to me. Systems, platforms, automation — none of it felt intimidating.

Before long, I was running two businesses:

1. A nutritional therapy practice (online and offline)

2. An online business mentoring and social media education business

All while my husband was working away and I had two small children.

When Success and Burnout Becomes Too Much

Something had to give. I was becoming a very unhealthy nutritional therapist, not a good look!

I chose to focus fully on the online business mentoring side. I built a community of people I really wanted to help.

I created and sold:

• Courses

• Masterminds

• Workshops

• VIP Days

My Courses Included:

I especially loved VIP Days. There is nothing like watching someone’s business transform in a single focused day.

What I Learned the Hard Way

Over the years, I learned things no course could have taught me alone:

• How to build automated sales funnels

• How to double clients’ income

• How to price properly

• How to create pathways, not just products

• How to sell online courses

• How to overcome fear and become visible

• How to step into a new identity

• How to take fast, imperfect action

• How to run a real business — money, tax, staff

• How to sell through DMs

• How to convert 60% of sales calls

• How to sell both low-ticket and high-ticket offers

And yes — I made great money.

I Did Make Good Money — And That’s Why I’m Doing This Differently

Over the years, I have had great paydays. Good Income Months/Years most people would consider “success”. So this isn’t coming from a place of “it didn’t work.”

It worked. But I also had tough months, months of life, learning, the continual rise of being an entrepreneur. Fail, Fall, Rise and Step Up. There were parts of the industry I was really tired of. There were parts of my own business I was really tired of. There was a part of it not coming easy to me or that I wasn't happy about. I didn't stop to really look at what I really wanted to do. When this happens you are pushing. You might know what this feels like? I call you to pause now and answer the simple question am I happy with how I am running my business? Answer 1-10, 1 being low 10 being high. Then ask what do you love, what you not love. What is the ideal business you would love to have but maybe you have not had the courage to make it happen or maybe just have not made the time. And it does not have to be all or nothing. Keep going with what you are doing but make time in your work to work on your core vision of what you really want to create.

But here’s the part that doesn’t get talked about enough:

The money was still too dependent on me. Nobody tells you when you start working for yourself, are you creating a job for yourself or a business. This you learn.

I was:

• Launching

• Selling

• Showing up

• Holding the energy

• Being “on”

  
  

When I stepped back, the income stepped back too.

That’s not failure — but it’s also not the freedom I originally set out to create.

I don’t want to just make good money.

I want to make resilient money.

Money that:

• Continues when life happens

• Isn’t wiped out by illness or exhaustion

• Doesn’t require constant output to exist

That’s why I’m not chasing more money now.

I’m chasing better-designed income and I don't just want this for myself, I want it for you too. Money is like cooking, you should be able to "eat out" or DIY it at home. I believe everyone should be able to create extra money or just more money for themselves.

When Life Forces a Pause

In recent years, my husband’s health became more challenging.This year, he needed major surgery again.

I shut my business down as it was so I could give him my full attention — and I don’t regret that for a second.

But the pause showed me something I couldn’t ignore.

Because I stopped working, most of my income stopped too.

The only income that continued was what was fully automated — and there wasn’t enough of it.

That was the wake-up call.

The Mindset Side Nobody Warns You About

Working for yourself will surface money mindset issues you didn’t even know you had.

I still remember asking for my first payment:

“That will be €80 please.”

Butterflies. Full body reaction.

When I later made €8,500 in PayPal, I didn’t even withdraw it.They had to contact me.

I had serious receiving issues — and I know I’m not alone.

Especially among women.

It always comes back to:

• Am I good enough?

• Do I deserve this?

The answer is — and always will be — hell yes.

Why Digital Income 365 Exists

This year clarified everything.

I don’t want income that disappears the moment life demands my attention.

I want income that:

• Supports you when life gets messy

• Gives options and breathing room

• Works with life, not against it

• Legacy income that can be carried on by anyone else for example if my kids want to take it over!

• Sellable Income streams that are not me and maybe could be sold.

  
  

That’s why I’m building Digital Income 365. I wanted to move away from my name too, to give me freedom to work on this on the side, work on other projects or maybe to go back to work. You maybe asking why am I thinking of going back to work? Honestly, I have been 15 years working from home and genuinely I miss people, structure. So this part we will see about but I will keep you informed. Before I used think you are either employed or self employed. But it doesn't have to be black and white.

This is the whole point of this blog - your income, your life, your rules. You do you! Stop waiting for permission to do it your way! I did for too long. Now I'm changing everything, and I feel excited inside again, I'm listening to my soul and what it desires and it feels so good that it is being heard. What is your soul saying to you?
